The Hsinchu Hash is proud to host this year’s All Island Run held on June 11th. Here is the basic run down:
The run is an A to B run in  Hsinchu county, in Cyonglin.
There will be a short (about 6 km) medium (8 km) and Long (????). The terrain is mountainous replete with orchards, farms and typical scenic country that Hsinchu is known for.
We will have a beer check!
Buzzard Eagle is the Hare and Three Dogs F@cking is the co-hare.
China Hash will do a run starting from the resort on Sunday the 12th. Both Hsinchu Hash and China Hash will camp out after the bash and run the next day. Other hashes are encouraged to join us!
The Cost is 900 NT and that includes the run, bash, insurance, resort shuttle, and t-shirt. The bash officially ends at 8:00 PM but the party will continue into the night.
The cost goes up to 1,000 NT after May 10th and anyone registering after that may not get a t-shirt. Camping costs extra.
The Resort is a really great place with many showers and bathrooms, one huge swimming pool, KTV, bonfire, and a stage.
The down downs and bash will be held outside with the tables underneath a canopy facing the stage that sits atop of a big lawn. Hashers may find their table after the run and put their things there. Down downs can be enjoyed while sitting on the lawn or sitting at your bash table.
The Parking is a bit complicated. The resort cannot get big buses down their small road. However, mini buses are okay and they can park at the resort. There is no parking for cars and scooters.
The big buses need to be parked on the main road exactly 2 kilometers away. The resort can shuttle 100 people at a time, so the departure time for everyone will be staggered. We are hoping that because we have so much going on this year, most of the hashes will stay later.
We will begin full shuttle service when the first group asks to go and will continue until 1100 PM.
The Bag situation is also complicated. For those using big buses, we will collect all the bags and color tag them at the run start. Then we will take the bags to the resort and put them on the lawn in colored groups. Please tell your people to not put valuables in their bags. All valuable should be left on the bus. The Hsinchu Hash will not accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items. Please inform your hashers before hand of this situation.
There will be shuttle service to the buses starting at 3:30 so people can get their cameras, cell phones, and money (for buying beers after 8:00PM or to buy something at the resort store). I suggest that each bus arrange to have a few people fetch the valuables for everyone on the bus; that way not everyone needs to take the shuttle.
Time-line of events
12:30 to 2:00 PM Hashes will arrive, stretch, and receive t-shirts. Please arrive before 1:15 to make sure everyone gets their t-shirt and their bags loaded on the blue truck.
2:00 PM The Hares are off.
4:30: The Down Downs begin and end around 6:00 PM.
6:00 PM The food is served.
6:30 The first musical group will go on stage.
7:30 The bonfire will be set.
8:00 The bash is officially over. The brown bottle beers will disappear and can or keg beer will be sold at a reasonable price. Sorry, but we just can’t afford to supply the beer all night. Each hash is welcome to bring their own beer if they want.
8:30 The swimming pool is closed.
11:00 The last show will finish and those not spending the night will be shuttled back to their buses.
Camping. If other hashes wish to camp out with us, great! You will have to arrange for the campers to have a separate bus. Mini buses are recommended for campers as they can be parked inside the resort.
But if campers come on a big bus, they must load their sleeping bags and tents onto the blue trucks. They too will be color tagged and set out on the lawn. Once again, Hsinchu Hash will not be held responsible for lost or stolen items so if someone is concerned that their fancy tent might get stolen, leave it on the bus and get it later.
Campers will set up in their assigned areas sometime after the run.
It costs 200 NT to camp with your own equipment. The resort rents equipment, but I don’t have that information yet.
There are also 2 group rooms with tommy mats on the floor. It costs 500 NT per person. One room will sleep 8 people, the other will sleep 12.
Getting There- I assume most hashes will have buses, but for those far away, or those with big wallets, the HSR is only 10 Kilometers (by highway, not city streets) away from run start. And the HSR is about 17 kilometers away from the resort. So you could get a taxi to and from the HSR and it shouldn’t cost so much.

Down Downs- Every GM will be asked to do down downs. I will see most the Gms before the AIR and we can talk then. Also, I will send out more information about down downs later.
Hash Store- This year we will set aside a place where all the hashes can sell, trade. give away, and show off their hash memorbilia. So bring some stuff if you want.
