Starting Friday, June 4, you will be able to enter the Roxy’s world cup draw and put yourself in line to win cash prizes.
There are in fact two separate pools, the first one deals with competition stats, such as total goals scored, and number of red cards issued. The second pool allows you to predict and track the various team fortunes as they progress (or not) through the tournament. Entry forms for each pool are issued in duplicate; the color copy original is the official entry form and remains the possession of Roxy’s, until the winners are announced. The photocopy duplicate may be retained by the entrant, so that he/she may keep track of their points.
As the competition progresses, entrants accumulate points based on the accuracy of their predictions. At tournaments end, points will be totaled, and the top three in each pool will win cash prizes as follows:
- First place: 50% of pot
- Second place: 30% of pot
- Third place: 15% of pot.
Rules.
- Closing time for registration is 20.00 (8.00pm), Friday, June 11th, 2010.
- No entry forms will be accepted after the date and time stated above.
- Entrance fee per pool is 400nt.
- There is no limit to the number of times a person may enter, as long as the entrance fee is paid each time.
- Both the original (color copy) and the photocopy duplicate must be completed in ink.
- An entry is not official until the color copy receives a Roxy’s stamp, and the entrance fee is paid.
- The official entry form of Roxy’s bar will be countersigned by three witnesses to ensure no skulduggery.
- Should less than eight people enter each pool, the draw will be scrapped. (Eight entrants is the minimum to ensure the third placed entrant, at least gets his/her entrance fee back).
- Three updates will be publicised; after the Pool stage, Round of 16, and after the semi-finals.
These rules may be modified between now and the start of the tournament.
