Douliu Hash #34 Run Report

Another hash has come and gone. This time, our hares, DDT and Cuntry BushWhacker, took us for a nice uphill, downhill, through the woods trail around Linnei. It had a nice uphill slog for the few few kilometers and then slowly gave away to roads and bamboo fields before finishing atop a small plateau overlooking the Linnei countryside. Distance was approximately 5.5 km.

DDT and CBW enjoyed a cold beverage in celebration of another successful run. One more hare run and CBW will become an official Hare! ON ON to another Hare Patch!

As usual, we had several first timers. These included Kevin, Ellie, Holly, Steve, and Ben. We also had a few second timers: Joanne, Jane, and Anna. Finally, we had one third timer, Shani. No matter what we tried, Joe Slomo had nothing bad to say about her, and we were unable to dig up any dirt on her, so we went simple and clean: from now on, Shani will be known on the Douliu Hash as “Kalahari Princess!” If you see her, congratulate her and ON ON to 10 runs!

Before moving on to hashits, DDT called for an impromptu whistle check, which nabbed far too many people. BetelNut Jizz was already in trouble, and it was only going to get worse. Remember hashers: If you are a third timer or you have a name, you should have a whistle to communicate on trail! Also, EVERY hasher should bring at least one piece of chalk to mark trail – help those behind you navigate to the finish!

Scratch The Itch was in charge of the men’s hashit, and he came up with 3 good nominations: BetelNut Jizz (who cares what for?), Joanne (for teasing the finishers – fluffing?), and the hares (for their bad Chinese). BNJ won the hashit easily and managed to hold onto it for several minutes before having it stolen.

Ensnatchment came up with three nominations for the women’s hashit: Cunnilinguini (for stealing the hashit and then losing it), Anna (for falling down on trail), and Scratch The Itch (for being a good and giving her the hashit back – remember, there are no nice guys on the hash!). Scratch The Itch won, so he gave up the men’s hashit, but gained the women’s. Hopefully he’ll keep that dildo somewhere save (The Itch could probably make good use of it) until next month!

-ANNOUNCEMENTS-
We have about one week until the 2012 AIR Hash. See the announcement on Roxy’s Bar and let me know if you want to attend.
Hashers, please remember to clean up your trash! Do not litter – always leave a place cleaner than you found it.

Finally, if you have any photos from older hashes (Especially Hash #33 – please bring your camera or memory card to Roxy’s Bar and put them on the laptop, so I can get them on the website! Moaning Grinder and 4 Stiff have been doing a great job taking pictures, but I know many of you have some great pictures, and we’d all like to see!

-GENERAL PENALTIES-
There were far too many general penalties to keep track of and things went pretty crazy toward the end, so here’s what I remember.

CBB started off by nominating STI for excellent trailmarking. Here here – STI marked several of the checks and generally did a great job – every hasher should bring chalk in order to mark trail for those behind you. Meanwhile, BNJ had a down down from ET for comparing his penis to a pineapple, although I (SGT) thought it was a weak nomination because it’s a fair comparison – neither one is something you’d want to fuck a woman with!

Holly nominated Anna and Kalahari Princess nominated Joe Slomo for pouring beer away (Stash abuse!) while Cunni nominated Steve for trying to steal some dogs he found in a small shed (Puppy abuse!) 1st timer James also celebrated his first hash – he’s only been on the island 8 days! ON ON to 3 runs!

SGT and 4 Stiff celebrated their 30th hash runs! ON ON to 40! There were several other down downs for the next hour, including several for the hares, a couple of hashit checks (BNJ just couldn’t seem to keep that paddle in his grasp), quiet down downs, and the ever present name abuse. We finished up with a doggie down down for STI, DDT, Joe Slomo, and whoever else had brought one of the five dogs on trail. Get your pets out! They love running around!

That’s all for this month. Check back next month when we’ll have pictures from the 2012 AIR Hash and our Three-Year Anniversary Run on June 30!
