The Douliu Hash jumped into double digit runs with Hash #10 on Saturday, May 15. Hares were Dirty Dick of Touliu and iPodAlong. The trail was very beautiful, but unfortunately overcast weather ruined some of the views. DDT introduced a new hash mark, a “VP” surrounded by a box. This hash mark will be used to signify a viewpoint where you can stop along the trail, enjoy the scenery, and take a picture.
Unfortunately, the trail wasn’t so scenic for our hares who ended up by caught by 4 runners: Hairy Fucker the Irish Cunt, Extra Testicle, Kinky Flatulating Copraphiliac, and Kinky Texan Vegan.
The first runners were also the ones that caught the hares. The first three walkers were Satisfaction GauranTit, 2nd timer Brenda, and Outback Mountaineer.
The down down commenced around 4:30. SGT opened and invited the 2 unsuccessful hares to share a drink. DDT inquired as to whether anyone had left the island and come back since the last hash. Rommel Router pointed out that DDT and Four Stiff had gone to New Orleans for the Jazz Fest, so DDT and Four Stiff shared a drink together.
We had many first timers on the trail today and they were invited up to drink. They included Debbie (South African, visiting from Taichung?), Sara (friend of Silvernuts and Lacey), Tom (friend of Motormouth from the Taichung Hash), and Motormouth (first-timer on the Douliu Hash).
We also had a lot of second timers. These included Brenda (had her first run a few weeks ago at the All Island Run), Santiago, Lacey, Jayson, and Miche. One more time and we’ll be giving out some Hash Names!
Finally, we had 2 third-timers on the Douliu hash and they received their hash names. First up was Sylvia, wife of iPodAlong. After much deliberation, we decided her Douliu Hash name would be French Twist, owing to French being her first language and her previous experience as a figure skater. The second third-timer was Jose. Everyone knows him and loves him, so we had a lot of good ideas for his hash name. It was tough, but in the end we decided to go with Spic too Quick.
The floor was open for General Penalties, and there were many. Among them, iPodAlong had to drink for honestly asking Hairy Fucker the Irish Cunt “You’re from Saskatchewan, aren’t you?” during the naming committee. Second-timer Santiago had to drink several times, just for being Santiago. There was plenty of name abuse by DDT and others.
Spic Too Quick make several nominations, among them: “all the old people should drink.” Extra Testicle talked at length about all the hard work that goes into making a hash happen and praised DDT and Four Stiff for their dedication. First-timer Tom shared a double with Santiago for saying Santi’s t-shirt was an “oxynewmoron paradox.”
Perhaps the highlight of the down down was when Miche and Brenda double-teamed the penis cup while sharing a drink for being too quiet during the down down. See the photo album for pictures.
DDT shared a drink with Motormouth because they are old friends (DDT used to teach Motormouth’s kids), but not before iPodAlong called him a “Motormouthing Fuck!”
The down down was descending very quickly into chaos and SGT called out DDT for not being able to maintain control. At that moment, Spic 2 Quick came running around and did some sort of jumping slide tackle to pick up the hashit that was on the ground. His point proven, SGT stopped taking down down minutes at this point because no order could be made of anything.
As far as announcements, keep in mind that next month is the Douliu Hash 1-year Anniversary Run. If anyone can help with t-shirts, designing, or finding a trail, please let Glenn/DDT know.
DDT and Four Stiff are also still looking for someone to take over the Hash Cash duties. If you are interested, let them know.
The down down closed up, we cleaned up the area, and had an awesome dinner (for only NT$220/person) of Taiwanese food. Afterward, the on-after at Roxy’s Bar was a good time to settle down and relax.
